About Us
Welcome to Miscellany Theatre Productions, a
registered non-profit company dedicated to producing challenging
theatre created by young professionals. Miscellany was founded by James
McWalter and Henry Martin with the aim to encourage, develop and stage
new writing and forms of theatre.
Miscellany has recently announced Gerard
Stembridge as patron of our company. Gerry is a renowned director and
writer, also published by Penguin Ireland. A sample of his work
includes "That was then" (Abbey Theatre), "About Adam" (with Kate
Hudson) and "Ordinary Decent Criminal" (with Kevin Spacey).
Miscellany's primary aims are to encourage:
- The development of new and existing
theatre by young practitioners.
- Creative partnerships between artistic
disciplines.
- Develop, and stage new writing, and forms
of theatre.
- To promote all theatre practices and
ideologies. .
- To offer individuals and groups the
opportunity to have their work staged without having to form their own
company.
- To develop relationships with the theatre
community home and abroad.
